Food just isn't as good as it should be. Beef Stew is extremely salty and beef is dry. Couldn't finish the bowl ($10 lunch) because of the high sodium content. Fish portions are small compared to Century House or even The 99. Most sandwiches are skimpy, and no egg white omelets just egg beaters on my last visit for breakfast. Best dinners are the Turkey Dinner and Meatloaf.

Had the most pleasant experience on our way home from Boston to Maine this evening. A friend recommended that if we were interested in a top shelf meal for the ride home we should try Red's Kitchen on Rt.1. Well we did. What a very nice and flavorful stop it turned out to be. All of our entrees' (there were three of us) were not only exquisitely tasty, but were more than filing. The thing that made us aware we were in for a good meal was their appetizers. It is a rare occasion today to be able to get fresh oysters on the half shell so fresh, crispy and as tasty as these were. Our waitress, Danielle, was bright as a bulb and quite attentive. All-in-all we had a wonderful meal and a very pleasant time. This is certainly not the last time we'll be stopping at Red's Kitchen and am positively looking forward to our next trip to Mass.

Service was good, venue is nice, drinks were good.

Great combo.of diner and All-America restaurant. Classier inside than it looks from the outside. Great food. Service can sometimes be a little slow when they get really full/busy.

I was greeted and seated respectfully, my order was taken promptly, and food was served quickly. But that is where the service ended. The waiter was very unprofessional. I had to ask for a second cup of coffee as he tossed the bill on the table on his was by and he never stopped back at my table except to reach in front of me to grab ketchup for the guy at another table, very rude. The Greek omelet was not bad and I could have accepted the cold potatoes and still left a tip, but this guy really had nothing coming.

Fish tacos were a confusing mix of flavors where the main thing you tasted were the acidic elements. The fish didn't come through. Flour tortillas besides, kind of washed it out.
