Fast forward 3 weeks to now and I’ve done 5 excersises for a total of 7 min. Today I was told I should consider trying something else because I should have seen improvent by now. Lol. Do yourself a favor and YouTube lower back/ab strenthening and save yourself the drive. If you wanna know the details why it sucked, read below.
Staff very friendly and fun to work with
Appointment 2: Joan shows me 3 excercises that made more sense. Then tells me to lay on the floor to practice how I will do them at home..I was like “lay down? Here? In the hallway?” Umm ooook. So I lay down and do 2 reps and all I could think about was people walking through bathrooms and dogshit. I jumped up and said “ya I’m all set and I would recommend you never tell anyone else to lay on the floor because it’s pretty gross. I can think of 100 other places we could do this other than a hallway floor
I walked over to the counter and said cancel the rest my appointments I’m going somewhere else. Thanks bye.
Boy was I wrong! In a little over a month, I have no pain in my knee anymore and just about full range of movement.
Complete waste of time. Started here 25 days ago and had 3 appointments.
Appointment 3: I was 10 min late. Walking to the equipment she asks me how the excercises have been going and If I have any improvement. I said “no”. She says I should have seen improvement at this point and then suggests that maybe this isn’t for me and I should look at other options. I said “I’ve been here twice and the first time was me lifting my arms off a table! No one is fixing a 10 year back problem flapping their arms for 25 seconds. You have legitimately shown me 5 excercises and 3 of them were so stupid I don’t even remember them. I want to learn something more involved that I didn’t already know, I want to continue”, which seemed to disappoint her. Today we did 20 reps of clams, 20 reps of pulling bar over my head and 10 reps of bridges. DONE. I swear to god it was 3 min of movement!
I was referred for physical therapy because I had a tear in my knee. I was very skeptical that PT would benefit me and thought it was just a waste of my time.
These guys know their stuff and are very professional. I have been on two occasions for a neck injury. I highly recommend Spaulding.
The staff is fantastic very friendly, compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable. The facility is very easy to find, clean, lots of room, and lots of equipment. I was seeing Joan Glowik who gave me great exercise and stretching to do at home. Every visit she was helping me adjust the exercises I was doing to best optimize my recovery.
Appointment 1: At the first session Austin showed me 2 excercises that an 90year old woman could perform.(laying down and lifting arms off table). I literally laughed and thought he was joking. He explained to me that we had to start from the ground up. I suggested we do something a little bit harder because lifting my hands in the air while laying down is ridiculous. NOPE. We had to build.
