picked up an order for Christmas Eve. It was great and the inside pickup process was well planned. So many people and all moving rather quickly. Nice job. the food was great. I ordered it cold and reheated for 10 people. Excellent all around. Staff was all helpful, smiles and Merry Christmas to all. Real nice. I'll be back for more.
I will be bringing my business elsewhere until management strongly reevaluates this facility’s pay structure and starts to support its employees.
At booking, I was mislead to believe the staff received a “generous wage,” and like others, wrongly assumed that an 18 percent “administrative fee” represented a gratuity. I was disappointed to learn this was not the case. Instead, as it was later explained, staff members earn a flat rate, amounting to less than $100 per shift (not a generous wage by any stretch of the imagination), gratuity not included.
I recently hosted an event at this facility and was impressed by the quality of food and service. The staff was friendly and accommodating, but I was concerned to learn how little they were paid for their work. This review is largely based on those concerns.
I have hosted other events at similar facilities along the North Shore, and have often been impressed by the generous wages and benefits offered to banquet staff and other employees. It is disconcerting to learn that a small business largely supported by working and middle class families does not fairly compensate or support its own workers.
